an Amma trip or?

If you consider yourself a devotee ask yourself if you follow what she teaches.

Are you celibate?
Do you meditate regularly?
Do you try real hard to treat everyone like they are Buddhas, like her?
Do you practice selflessness?

Remember that a master teaches all 3 schools.
foundational,
higher,
and highest.

Ask yourself if this is just an experience or a trip.

and practice practice practice

devotee or disciple? I think one can be devoted to something/someone and still fall short of becoming them. All we can do is try. But living a worldly life, like most of us do having to survive, living like a saint or her swamis is very very difficult. Everyone's path is different with her, and I've had Mother tell me what my sadhana is personally :)

Don't judge lest you become a guru yourself LOL

In my opinion it is that above all things Amma teaches Love and in that sense I try my hardest to be a devotee.

Everyone is on a different path, celibate or not , it is not the most important thing, the hardest thing is to love all being and be selfless, celebacy is not that difficult acctualy. Amma loves all and will give all different instructions according to their karma.

There is a story of Lord Shiva and Parvati, where Parvati asks Shiva to go and enlighten some of his devotees. He manifests himself on the earthly realm and he encounters 2 yogis and one simple man. The yogis practiced a lot and did a lot of tapas, and they asked Lord Shiva how long will it take to get enlightened. Lord Shiva told both of them that it will take at least another thousand lives for one and 30000 lives for the other one. They were happy and continued their tapas and yogic practices. Then the simple man came and told Lord Shiva that he has nothing to offer to him but his devotion and love for him, and that he has not been practicing at all. Lord Shiva instantly gave him liberation. The most simple people who never practice can be on a higher level then the people who practice a lot, yogic practice can reinforce the ego at times rather then dissolve the ego, That is why mother always focuses on simple service.

That's a great story of Lord Shiva, I've never head that one before. Love is more powerful than the "doing"

Amma actually tells every one the same thing in her stories and her books.

              But very few listen.

Everyone is on their own path and is at their own level. You shouldn't worry about the progress of other devotees, leave that to Amma.

How are you defining experience or trip?

What is the difference to you?

There is no difference , words are empty, only love for the mother is real

It doesn't matter what you practice. What remains unconscious is still going to kick (your own) ass. Period.

"It doesn't matter what you practice."

      !

We should all practice the art of discovering the highest teachings of any and all masters...

Otherwise we are just attached to a personality or a belief.

Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Mohammed, etc... all say the same things in different words.

"Let the body needs dwindle and the souls decisions increase.
Diminish what you give your physical self.
      Your spiritual eye will open."

"Listen to the prophets, not to some adolescent boy.
The foundation and the walls of the spiritual life
are made of self-denials and disciplines."
-Rumi, Muhammed and the Huge Eater
